Varanasi. Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav made a scathing attack on BJP's defeat in Varanasi Legislative Council elections. By posting on X, he called BJP a 'flop show'. Said that the results of these elections have written the prologue for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections to be held in 2027. He termed it as a mandate against BJP's policies related to education and teachers.

Referring to the counting of votes in Varanasi, Akhilesh Yadav said that BJP lost first in counting and then in re-counting. He called it 'double defeat of double engine'. Said that educated unemployed graduates and youth who are worried about their future have also given their verdict in the elections.

'The one who suffers is the PDA'
The SP chief claimed in his post that people from different societies are feeling victimized, sad and insulted by the policies of the BJP. Due to this, the oppressed classes are uniting and the voter base of PDA has reached 95 percent. By PDA, SP means backward, Dalit and minority classes.
Akhilesh also mentioned the alleged factionalism within the BJP. He alleged that internal divisions in the party are increasing and candidates are not being found to contest the assembly elections. He taunted that earlier BJP was conducting survey of candidates, but now it is searching for candidates with binoculars.

Akhilesh Yadav congratulated the SP candidates who won the elections. He also congratulated those candidates whom he termed as losers due to alleged trickery and rigging. Claimed that all SP candidates are winners for him, even if they have not received the certificate.

In Varanasi, BJP lost first in 'counting', then again in 're-counting', meaning votes were counted twice and both times BJP and its allies lost.
This is a double defeat for the double engine.

Due to this, an existential crisis has started in the BJP, because everyone inside the BJP knows that the seats which the BJP has won, have also been won through rigging. The conflict between the double engines has increased further due to internal divisions in the BJP. That is why BJP candidates have completely lost the courage to contest the assembly elections. The BJP, which was conducting the survey of candidates till now, is now searching for candidates with binoculars, but no one is visible anywhere.
BJP's ticket window is empty.
Uttar Pradesh for this encouraging victory. We express our heartfelt gratitude to the highly respected teachers of the college and the youth who are concerned about their future, that they not only voted for us, but also monitored us as much as possible with our 'PDA guards' and remained steadfast till the certificate was received.
We congratulate all our winning candidates and also those who were defeated due to manipulation and fraud. Actually none of our candidates have lost, they just could not win due to BJP manipulation. We congratulate them equally. For us they are all winners without certificates.
This awareness and unity will become the 'decisive foundation' to form our government in 2027.

Expressing his gratitude to the teachers and youth, the SP chief said that the voters not only voted in favor of the party but also kept vigil during the counting of votes and stood firm till the certificates were received. He described this unity as the decisive foundation for forming the SP government in the 2027 assembly elections.
