From the media to the political world, there was a lot of taunting about Congress's electoral defeat, especially the defeat on all four seats in Congress-ruled Karnataka, but in the counting of votes that took place late on Wednesday night, Congress candidate Abhijit Wanjari (Newly Elected MLC Abhijit Wanjari) from Nagpur (Maharashtra) graduate constituency, which is known as the stronghold of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), gave a crushing defeat to BJP candidate Sudhakar Kohle and destroyed his fort. Political analysts believe that the victory of Congress in Nagpur, the stronghold of RSS, will become a new political lifeline for the opposition. Vanjari told why he won?

At his residence after the victory, Vanjari said that the elections in graduate constituencies are different from other elections because the voters here are educated and they understand what kind of work is expected from their elected representatives in the Legislative Council. He said voters were aware of the work the Congress had done in the last six years and the election results were a result of those efforts. He said that we intend to continue similar programs in the next six years. When asked about BJP's vigorous campaigning, Nagpur being the home constituency of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and RSS having its headquarters here, Vanjari said that BJP campaigned by targeting them instead of its candidate.
