Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has intensified its preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027. On Wednesday, during the public meeting organized at Khalaur Stadium in Anupshahr assembly constituency of Bulandshahr, BSP national convenor Akash Anand sounded the trumpet of the election campaign. Targeting BJP, Samajwadi Party and Congress, he appealed to the workers to unite to make Mayawati the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the fifth time.
Addressing the public meeting, Akash Anand cornered the BJP government on issues like inflation, unemployment, paper leak and law and order. He alleged that the government has failed to provide adequate employment to the youth. The future of the youth is being affected due to alleged irregularities in vacant posts and recruitment examinations in government departments. He said that BSP will go among the public on these issues.
Akash Anand also raised questions on the PDA (Backward, Dalit and Minority) slogan of Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav. He alleged that an attempt is being made to mislead the Bahujan community through this slogan. He also targeted the politics of opposition parties by targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
In his address, Akash Anand assured the workers that the party is ready to face the electoral challenges. He said, “I am ready to take as many tests as you want.” His statement is being seen as a message of political preparation and organizational activism of BSP before the upcoming assembly elections.
During the public meeting, Akash Anand declared Manoj Pradhan, who left BJP and joined BSP, as candidate from Anupshahr assembly seat and Mukesh Pandit from Shikarpur assembly seat. After the announcement of the ticket, Manoj Pradhan prostrated himself on the stage. He expressed his resolve to stand with the people of the area in their happiness and sorrow and serve them.
Many party leaders and workers including BSP District President Ravindra Pradhan, Munkad Ali were present in the meeting.
This campaign of BSP is considered important before the 2027 assembly elections. The party's strategy is to strengthen its support base through issues like inflation, unemployment and social representation. However, the performance of the party in the elections will depend on how active it is able to activate its organization and how effective it is able to make its political message among the public.
