Importance of Karva Chauth
The festival of Karva Chauth has special significance for married women. On this day, women observe Nirjala fast wishing long life, health and happy married life of their husbands. Along with this, women also prepare to look beautiful by doing sixteen adornments. Every woman wants her face to look clean, fresh and glowing on this day. Therefore, many women go to parlors and get facials and skin treatments done before the festival. But if you want to take care of your skin at home, you can use an Ayurvedic face pack.
Method to make Ayurvedic face pack
Ayurvedic nutritionist Shweta Shah has shared a video on her Instagram, in which she has explained the method of making and using face packs at home. Multani mitti, turmeric and other traditional Ayurvedic ingredients are used in this face pack. Let us know what materials will be required to make it and what is the correct way to apply it.
Ingredients required for face pack
To make this face pack you will need the following ingredients:
-
multani mitti
-
turmeric powder
-
Manjistha Powder
-
lodhra powder
-
white sandalwood powder
-
Rose water
These ingredients have been traditionally used in skin care. However, not every person gets the same results.
How to make Ayurvedic face pack?
Making this face pack is very simple. First of all, add multani mitti, turmeric powder, manjishtha powder, lodhra powder and white sandalwood powder in a clean bowl. Now add rose water little by little and mix well. When its soft paste is ready, use it to apply on the face.
Method of applying face pack
Apply the face pack gently on clean face. For this you can use a clean brush or your fingers. Leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes. After this, wash the face gently with normal water. Instead of rubbing the skin with a towel, pat it dry gently and then apply moisturizer.
Things to keep in mind before applying face pack
Just because it is made from Ayurvedic ingredients does not mean that the face pack will be safe for every skin type. Some people may experience irritation, allergies, or redness from turmeric, sandalwood, rose water, or other herbal ingredients.
-
Do a patch test first: Before applying the face pack on the face, test it by applying it on a small part of the skin. It is best to monitor for any reaction for 24 to 48 hours.
-
Use caution on sensitive skin: If you already have irritation, wounds or swelling on your skin, avoid such home remedies.
-
Do not rub the face vigorously: While removing the pack, apply some water and clean gently.
-
Don't forget to apply moisturizer: Use skin friendly moisturizer after washing face.
Remember that using this face pack does not guarantee instant glow. To keep the skin looking fresh on Karva Chauth, it is also necessary to get enough sleep, drink water and adopt a skincare routine suitable for your skin. Instead of trying a new product or home remedy just before the festival, it would be better to stick to the safe things you are already using.
