US Strikes Iran: Amidst the ongoing tension between America and Iran, the news of American attack on Qeshm Island has come to light. The Wall Street Journal quoted US officials as saying that the US military launched a limited strike on Iran's Qeshm Island on Monday. According to the report, according to US officials, it was a 'defensive strike' aimed at weakening Iran's military capabilities and bases that could threaten ships or US assets in the Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier, there was news of American attack on Qeshm Island on June 2 also. At that time the US claimed that it targeted an Iranian military ground control station there, which was used to direct drone operations.
