Technology Desk: While shopping online, many times people like clothes, but it is difficult to understand how they will look when worn. Many times a dress that looks good in the photo does not look the same in reality. To overcome this problem, Google has brought a new feature. The company is testing a new feature of fashion and lifestyle shopping on its payment app Google Pay in India. With its help, users will be able to see the clothes and also try them virtually before buying.
The name of this new feature of Google is 'Discover Shop'. In this, options like Personalized Recommendations, Virtual Try-On and Visual Search will be available. That means users will be able to search for clothes of their choice, try them on virtually and also find similar products through pictures. Currently the company is testing it with a limited number of users in India.
These features will be available in Google Pay's Discover Shop
Google announced the pilot project of Discover Shop through a blog post last Monday. This new section is powered by the company's Shopping Graph with more than 60 billion products. In this, products related to fashion and lifestyle will be visible at one place.
Google is also including YouTube videos in this feature along with its Visual Search and Virtual Try-On tools. This will give users a chance to see new trends in clothes and fashion. Google will suggest different products to users based on their preferences and online activities.
You will be able to do virtual try-on before buying clothes
The most special thing about this feature is Virtual Try-On. With its help, users will be able to try any clothes virtually before buying it. This will help them get an idea of how a particular dress might look on them and how it will look.
For this, users can visit different product pages and try selected clothes virtually. Google is also planning to add pre-made Daily Outfit Suggestions in the coming time. With this, users will be able to get suggestions for new outfits to wear daily.
Will be able to search clothes of choice from photo
Visual Search option will also be available in Google Pay's Discover Shop. Through this, users will be able to find similar products by taking a photo of their favorite garment. Additionally, they can also search for similar products by uploading a photo from their phone.
On selecting a product, information like its color, size and format will also be visible. If the user likes an item, he can visit the respective merchant's website to buy it.
Suggestions will be given as per the choice of the users
Personalized recommendations will also be given in this feature. That means Google will show fashion products based on users' preferences and activities. For this, Search Personalization Data will be used along with Web and App Activity with the consent of the users.

Currently, Discover Shop is being tested with select users in India. If you want to check whether this feature has come in your Google Pay app or not, then update the app. After this look for the 'Discover' icon given at the bottom of the screen.
