Ayushmann Khurrana receives extortion threat linked to Bishnoi gang

Indian actor Ayushmann Khurrana reportedly received an extortion threat through an audio message from an unidentified person who claimed to have links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to Mumbai Police sources, the caller demanded crores of rupees from the actor.

Police officials began checking the audio message to establish who had sent it. They were also verifying the sender’s claimed connection with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

As part of the investigation, officials compared the voice in the recording with other audio material available in their records. However, the person’s identity and alleged gang links had not been confirmed.

The investigation remained underway, while Ayushmann had not issued any public statement about the reported threat.

Tusshar Kapoor also received extortion threat

The incident came shortly after actor Tusshar Kapoor reportedly received a threat demanding Rs 5 crore. The caller had claimed to be gangster Hari Boxer.

However, police officials said an initial voice comparison suggested that the caller was not the person he claimed to be.
