Posting on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister said that the One District-One Product (ODOP) scheme has given a new identity to the traditional arts of the state. Today, ODOP products account for about 50 percent of the state’s exports. At the same time, with 81 GI tags, the unique product traditions of Uttar Pradesh are establishing their identity at the global level.
Appeal to adopt ODOP products as gifts
CM Yogi appealed to the people of the state to adopt ODOP products as gifts this Diwali. He said that this is a tribute to the rich heritage of the state and the hard work of the artisans, craftsmen and entrepreneurs. Embracing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call of ‘Vocal for Local’, encourage local products and strengthen the resolve of self-reliant Uttar Pradesh.
