The MP, who addressed the media after performing puja and Jalabhishek at the famous Baba Baidyanath temple in Deoghar on Thursday, fiercely targeted the functioning of the Central and Bihar governments. He cornered the Central government citing the current situation in Manipur and increasing crimes against women in different parts of the country.
Furthermore, referring to the continuously falling value of the Indian rupee against the US dollar, he claimed that the country's position on the economic front has weakened. Pappu Yadav also raised questions on the foreign policy of the Centre. Citing political developments in neighboring countries including Bangladesh and Nepal, he alleged that India's strategic position at the regional level was being affected due to a weak and short-sighted foreign policy.
Talking about the political situation in Bihar, he took on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's government. He said that women, businessmen and common people are feeling unsafe in Bihar. The state has been lagging behind for a long time due to poverty, caste discrimination and politics of hatred.
He stressed that the large-scale migration happening even today is the biggest failure of Bihar and the government will have to come out of rhetoric and provide real relief to the people. Expressing his faith during the Deoghar tour, the MP said that Lord Shiva is the worshiper of the entire universe. There is no difference of caste, religion, high-low or rich-poor in Baba's court and every devotee spreads his bag with equal spirit.
