Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has targeted the statement of Union Minister Lalan Singh in which he had said that now instead of Aadhar Card, the benefit of some scheme will be available through Voter Card. Rahul Gandhi posted on social media and alleged that the government has started erasing people's names and now eradicating their rights. He has called it a deep conspiracy.
Tezzbuzz Desk- Rahul Gandhi wrote in his social media post that the minister of Modi government has announced that the benefits of the schemes will now be decided not on Aadhaar but on Voter ID. He said that this conspiracy needs to be understood leisurely.
Rahul Gandhi alleged that crores of names are being deleted from the voter list in the name of SIR and if this is not stopped then people's names will be deleted in future also. He claimed that most of these are people who are angry against BJP.
Rahul Gandhi said that the voter list should be in the hands of an impartial Election Commission, but now it is in the hands of Modi government employee Gyanesh Kumar. He alleged that Gyanesh Kumar has been caught in collusion with BJP for vote theft and evidence of the same has also been put forward.
The Leader of Opposition alleged that preparations are being made to prepare such a voter list in which BJP will always have the majority and now the same list will decide whether people will get money from government schemes or not. He said that if tomorrow someone decides to remove BJP from power, his name will be selectively deleted.
Rahul Gandhi wrote in his post, 'Name cut – vote gone, vote gone – rights gone.' He said that whose name was removed from the voter list, his vote was lost and whose vote was lost, his rights were also lost. He described it as a democracy where the people will not choose the government, but the government will choose its people.
Rahul Gandhi further raised the question that if there are Panchayati Raj schemes today, what will happen to ration, pension, MNREGA, housing, scholarship and reservation tomorrow. He alleged that this is not the politics of winning elections, but an arrangement to steal elections and a permanent arrangement to remain in power.
He said that voting is the right of every citizen, there is no condition. Rahul Gandhi said that a poor person's pension cannot be a slave to his voter card. He called this not just vote theft but also rights theft and said that he will not allow this to happen.
