One of the most notable trends this year is the return of simple greeting cards. Orders for Father’s Day greeting cards increased by as much as 120 times compared to regular days. The data showed that even in the digital age, handwritten greetings and emotional messages are gaining popularity again among consumers. Interestingly, on Father’s Day, late morning saw the highest flow of gift orders.

Wallets made the biggest jump among thoughtfully chosen gifts. Orders for wallets registered nearly 1100 percent growth, making it one of the fastest growing gifting categories. Similarly, demand for perfumes grew by 100 percent, while sales of grooming kits increased by over 40 percent. Electronics department also saw a big boom on the occasion of Father’s Day. The demand for gifts such as wireless earbuds, smartphones and various technical accessories has increased significantly.
