Gift of cashless treatment to teachers, CM Yogi said – Government will take care of your health, you should focus on education.

From Varanasi, CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme of up to Rs 5 lakh for the teachers of the state and their families. During this, he called upon the teachers to ensure children’s education, cleanliness of schools and sending every child to school and said that the government has taken the responsibility of health and social security of teachers, now it is the responsibility of teachers to give quality education to the new generation in accordance with the goal of developed India.

Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme launched

CM Yogi launched the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme at Pandit Deendayal Hastkala Sankul in Varanasi. With this, cashless medical facility of up to Rs 5 lakh will be available to almost teachers and their families of the state. Apart from regular teachers, the benefit of the scheme will also be available to Shikshamitras, instructors, cooks and eligible personnel of Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools.

In the program, the Chief Minister also transferred an amount of Rs 1,320 crore to the students of Basic Education Council through DBT. He said that Rs 1,200 is being provided to each student so that uniforms, shoes-socks, bags and other necessary materials can be arranged.

Government expects from teachers

CM Yogi said that the government has not asked anything from the teachers. The only expectation in return is that they pay full attention to children’s education, cleanliness of schools, discipline and overall development. It is the responsibility of every citizen to send every child to school, but the responsibility of teachers is the highest.

The Chief Minister said that the aim of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Nipun Bharat’ campaign is to make every child proficient in basic education. The dream of a developed India will come true only when a strong foundation of education is prepared. The new National Education Policy is a coordination of Indian tradition and modern needs and accordingly the education system in the state is being strengthened.

At one time, the education system of Uttar Pradesh was badly affected due to vested interests and the state was struggling with the identity of ‘Bimaru’. But in the last nine years, there have been extensive reforms in the education sector, due to which the state is progressing rapidly and teachers have also got respectable recognition in the society.

The Chief Minister said that the government has also signed an agreement related to social security with the State Bank of India. Under this, temporary teachers will also be given various social security benefits including risk cover. Uttar Pradesh is becoming the first state in the country to implement such a comprehensive system. Education is not just a medium of employment but the foundation of nation building.

He called upon the teachers to take inspiration from great teachers like Acharya Chanakya, Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya and Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and said that only strong teachers can build a strong society and a strong nation.
