Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rajiv Shukla himself has given this information. This controversy started when the Indian team captained by Suryakumar refused to accept the trophy from Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi during the awards ceremony. According to many reports, after this controversy, Mohsin Naqvi went to his hotel with the trophy. After this the Indian team celebrated without the trophy. Team India players celebrated fiercely without the trophy.

BCCI told where is the trophy?

BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla talking to PTI about Asia Cup (Asia Cup) A big update has been given regarding the trophy. Rajiv Shukla said, ‘As far as the Asia Cup trophy is concerned. We have requested the ACC President and Directors to hand over the trophy several times. But no reply has been received from their side yet. We have talked to them, but what difference does it make if they don’t hand over the trophy? The whole world knows that we live there. Even though we have not got the trophy yet, we will keep trying to achieve it.

What was the whole controversy?

Actually, India had played the final match of Asia Cup between India and Pakistan on 28 September 2025. In this match, India won the title by defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets. As per the rules, the then captain of the Indian team, Suryakumar Yadav, was handed over to ACC President Mohsin Naqvi. (Mohsin Naqvi) Had to take the trophy from. However, the Indian team had decided not to join hands with Pakistani players in this tournament in protest against the Pahalgam terrorist attack. In such a situation, Team India clearly refused to take the trophy from the hands of Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the Home Minister of Pakistan.

There was a lot of controversy regarding the Asia Cup 2025 trophy. Many reports claimed that Mohsin Naqvi had taken the trophy with him to the hotel and later it was locked in the (ACC) office in Dubai. According to the rules, the Asia Cup trophy cannot be taken anywhere without the permission of the ACC President.
