Quick Darshan Scam: During the month of Sawan, Shiva temples across the country are witnessing a huge influx of devotees. Meanwhile, a case of fraud at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi has become a topic of discussion on social media. According to a viral video, a young man duped a couple from Karnataka out of Rs 4,000 by promising them a quick darshan.

It is reported that the couple was waiting in line due to the heavy crowd when a young man approached them and, after taking money, promised them VIP access or early darshan. Trusting him, the couple transferred ₹4,000 online, but the accused disappeared immediately after receiving the money.

According to reports, the victims, Nandini and Vinayak, are from Mysuru. They had visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple with two other companions. After the accused disappeared, they searched the temple premises for him, but were unsuccessful. They then sought help from Inspector Shivkant Mishra, who was on duty at the Sigra police station.

Upon receiving the complaint, the police immediately took action and within a short time found the accused, Basant Pandey. They recovered the entire amount he had defrauded. A video of the incident is rapidly going viral on social media, with people praising the police officer’s actions.

The police caught the accused and got the money back.

The video has garnered numerous reactions from social media users. Many praised the inspector’s honesty and promptness, saluting him. Some users also pointed out that such scammers are active at crowded religious sites, so devotees should be wary of being tricked by strangers.

Some people advised using the temple administration’s official system and not paying anyone for quick darshan. However, all the claims made in the viral video could not be independently verified.
