News Desk. An important step is underway to further improve road connectivity in Purvanchal. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is preparing to directly connect the Deoria bypass to the Kushinagar four-lane. The process of designing this connection around Siktaur has begun.
Once the new road link is completed, drivers traveling from Gorakhpur city to Lucknow will be less likely to have to travel through the busy Nausadh and Transport Nagar routes. This is expected to save travel time and reduce traffic congestion in these key areas.
Kushinagar four-lane will be connected to Deoria bypass
Currently, a four-lane road is available from Kalesar Zero Point towards Kushinagar. This route reaches the Siktaur area of the Deoria Bypass via Ramnagar Kadjahan. NHAI is now planning to connect this network to make vehicular traffic between the Deoria Bypass and the Kushinagar four-lane more direct. A technical design will be prepared, and further work will begin thereafter.
It will be easy to reach the link expressway
A major benefit of the completion of the Deoria bypass and Kushinagar four-lane connection is access to the Link Expressway. The Link Expressway is an important route for motorists traveling from Gorakhpur to Lucknow or Dakshinanchal.
Those coming from Kushinagar to Gorakhpur will also benefit
The benefits of this project won’t be limited to vehicles headed toward Lucknow. Vehicles traveling to Gorakhpur from Kushinagar will also be able to reach their destinations without crossing congested parts of the city. Currently, traffic jams occur while passing through busy areas like Kudhaghat and Mohaddipur. With a better connection to the Deoria bypass, the pressure on these areas could be reduced.
