A nurse on duty in the ICU of Civil Hospital, Panchkula, Haryana died under suspicious circumstances, causing a stir in the hospital.
What makes the incident more suspicious is that Preeti’s mobile phone is missing from the spot. The last location of the phone was found in Sector-5, after which it got switched off. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation with the forensic team. The post-mortem was conducted by a board of five doctors.
The deceased has been identified as Preeti Bainiwal, who was a resident of Juglan village, Hisar and was currently living with her family in Sector-31, Panchkula. It is being told that Preeti was found unconscious in the ICU, after which she was immediately shifted for treatment, but the doctors could not save her life. A cannula was found in his hand, due to which it is suspected that some kind of injection was given.
According to the information, Preeti Bainiwal was appointed in the year 2024 and her first posting was in Panchkula Civil Hospital. She worked mainly in the ICU. On the day of the incident, she had left home for duty at 2 pm and her shift was to end at 8 pm. When she did not reach home on time, the hospital administration informed the family.
According to the family, Preeti’s father had passed away and she lived with her mother. His brother Nitin is working at the Health Department Headquarters in Panchkula, while the other brother Ashish is serving in the Election Commission. His sister-in-law is a secretary in the Panchayat department. It is being told that recently talks were going on regarding their marriage and just a week ago a family had come to see them.
According to the ICU staff, Preeti had completed her duties normally and had even asked for tea from her colleagues. After her duty was over, she had gone to the washroom to change clothes, where her body was later found. This washroom is said to be set aside separately for doctors. At present the hospital administration is refraining from saying anything on this matter, while the police investigation is going on. According to the station in-charge, the case is being investigated from every aspect.
