There was a huge commotion near a cricket ground in Bengaluru on Wednesday morning when the severed head of a person was found by the local people who had gone for a walk there. Seeing this scary and horrifying scene, a sensation spread in the area and discussion started among the people that this was a case of a brutal murder. It was extremely difficult to immediately identify the victim as his face was badly mutilated. Suspicion of murder and initial police investigation

According to the Indian Express report, initially the local people thought it was a sensational murder, but the police investigation made it clear that this was not a criminal murder case, but the result of a tragic railway accident. In fact, the police had recovered a headless body after a horrific train accident on a nearby railway track on Tuesday night. Due to darkness at night and very low visibility, the severed head could not be recovered during the police search operation.

Stray dogs carried their heads from the track to the ground

Giving information on this dreadful incident, Whitefield Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Saidulu Adawath said that the police has registered a case of unnatural death in this matter. This severed head found near the cricket ground is of the same person whose torso was found on the railway track on Tuesday night. Initial investigation by the police has revealed that stray dogs picked up this severed head from the railway track and dragged it for a distance of about 200 meters and brought it to this playground. This horrific incident came to light only when local people saw human remains near the dogs on Wednesday morning.

Identification of the deceased and action of police-forensic teams

According to information received quoting police sources, the deceased victim of the accident is said to be a 28-year-old youth from Andhra Pradesh. However, officials have also clarified that the official identity of the deceased has not been fully confirmed yet and the process to ensure his identification is going on at a rapid pace. After this sensational incident came to light, the Railway Police, Varthur Police Station Police, special team of Scene of Crime Officer (SOCO) and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams immediately inspected the spot and collected evidence. At present the police is investigating this entire matter closely from every aspect.
