Now Aadhaar Card will be made sitting at home, special facility of UIDAI for elderly and disabled, know how to book
UIDAI Home Enrolment: If you also have an elderly, disabled person or a person in your house who cannot go to the Aadhar Seva Kendra, then the government has brought a special service for you. In which it is being told that now there will be no need to go to the center again and again to get Aadhar card made or to make necessary changes in it. Because Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is bringing Home Enrollment Service for such needy people under which the operator can complete the process related to Aadhaar by reaching home. But this facility is not available to all citizens and only those who fulfill the prescribed eligibility can avail it.
What is UIDAI’s Home Enrollment Service?
If we give information about this special service of UIDAI, it has been started for those people who are not able to reach the Aadhaar center due to health, age or physical condition. Through this facility, along with making a new Aadhaar card, updating name, address or other information in Aadhaar, biometric data can also be updated sitting at home. It is being said that the aim of this initiative is to provide relief to such citizens who find it difficult to go out to avail Aadhaar services.
Who will get the benefit of this facility?
If you want to know whether you will get the benefit of this service or not, then let us tell you that this service is mainly for senior citizens, bedridden patients, extremely weak persons and disabled citizens who cannot reach the Aadhaar Seva Kendra due to some reason. In such a situation, if there is any member in your family who cannot go out of the house, then you can also book this service.

How much will be the fee and how to book?
UIDAI has given information regarding this in which they have said that if home service is booked for only one person at one address, then a service charge of Rs 700 will have to be paid. If other members at the same address also avail this facility, then Rs 350 will have to be paid separately for each additional member. What is worth noting in this is that this fee will be different from the normal government fee of Rs 50 or Rs 100 for Aadhaar update.
In which to book the service, one can call the helpline number 1947. The request can also be made by sending an email with the required documents to the concerned UIDAI Regional Office. In which after getting the approval, within 7 to 15 days the operator reaches home and completes the process of Aadhaar enrollment or update.
