CJP activist Nishu Azad said on the controversy over Hindu activist Swatantra Bhardwaj’s podcast, “Today we went to the police station with Bhai Chandrashekhar Azad ji regarding this matter. We put forward our views and demands before the police. It has been more than two months since the FIR was registered, but no concrete progress has been made yet. We were demanding justice and saying that wrong has been done to us; especially, we wanted Section 307 to be imposed in the case. “Provisions of (attempt to murder) and SC/ST Act should be added, because there was a clear attempt on our lives. These serious charges were not included in the FIR lodged against the accused, due to which he is roaming freely. We demanded that charges under Section 307 and SC/ST Act should be included in the FIR.”
Nishu said, “The police have assured us that they will make an arrest within 72 hours. We also lodged a complaint and got an FIR lodged against those people who were abusing me on social media. The trouble was so much that I even harmed myself. Now action is being taken against those who threatened to rape me. Apart from this, as I said earlier, our demands for imposition of SC/ST Act and Section 307 are being met. The police have been acting for some time. Have demanded, and I hope they will take action within that time frame, we do not know when or where these people are openly threatening us
