Aamir Khan Greets Media With Folded Hands In First Appearance After Marrying Gauri Spratt
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan made his first public appearance on Saturday after marrying longtime partner Gauri Spratt in an intimate civil ceremony held at his Mumbai residence.
The actor briefly stepped out of the wedding celebrations to see off Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray. Before returning inside, Aamir acknowledged the photographers gathered outside by greeting them with folded hands and flashing a warm smile.
Warm gesture for the paparazzi
Dressed in a traditional white bandhgala kurta paired with a dhoti, Aamir kept his appearance simple and elegant. Although Gauri Spratt did not accompany him during the brief interaction with the media, the actor’s gesture towards photographers quickly drew attention online.

First wedding photo surfaces
The first photograph from the couple’s intimate wedding ceremony has also emerged online. The image shows Aamir and Gauri signing the marriage register in the presence of their children, close family members and a select group of friends.
For the ceremony, Gauri wore an ivory lehenga with statement jewellery, while Aamir opted for a classic white traditional ensemble.
Family members played an important role in the celebrations, with Aamir’s children—Junaid, Ira and Azad—and Gauri’s son from her previous marriage attending the wedding.
Children curated the wedding menu
According to media reports, the couple gave their children a special responsibility by allowing them to curate the wedding menu.
Ahead of the ceremony, Aamir had said that the wedding would be a simple registered marriage attended only by close family members and friends.
The actor and Gauri Spratt, who have known each other for decades, reconnected in recent years and had been in a relationship before deciding to marry in a private ceremony.
