Authorities have clarified that the authenticity of the viral social media post and the purported audio clip has not been independently verified.
Threat surfaces through social media post
According to reports, a social media post purportedly shared by Arzoo Bishnoi, identified as Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, along with another individual identified as Tyson Bishnoi, contained a warning directed at Aamir Khan.
An audio clip, purportedly featuring Arzoo Bishnoi, has also surfaced online.
In the audio recording, the speaker accuses Aamir Khan of promoting what he describes as “love jihad” and claims such actions are against Indian culture. The clip also contains an alleged warning directed at the actor and his associates.
However, the authenticity of both the audio recording and the social media post remains unverified.
Mumbai Police begin verification
Reacting to the development, Mumbai Police confirmed that they are examining the viral content.
Police officials stated that they are verifying the authenticity of both the social media post and the purported voice recording before taking any further action.
No official confirmation has been issued regarding the origin of the material or whether it was actually released by the individuals named in the posts.
The investigation remains at a preliminary stage.
Viral post also mentions Rajasthan incident
Apart from referring to Aamir Khan, the viral social media post also commented on a separate criminal incident involving a girl in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan.
The post alleged that certain political figures were attempting to protect some of the accused and warned of consequences for anyone found interfering with the legal process.
These claims have also not been independently verified.
Aamir Khan had earlier addressed ‘love jihad’ allegations
The latest development comes after Aamir Khan recently responded to allegations branding him the “brand ambassador of love jihad.”
In an interview, the actor rejected the allegations and said his family has always embraced interfaith relationships without religious conversion.
He pointed out that several members of his family, including his sisters and daughter, are in interfaith marriages with Hindus and Christians through civil marriages.
Aamir also stated that his marriages to Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao did not involve any religious conversion.
Speaking about his recent marriage to Gauri Spratt, the actor said it was also a civil marriage and added that Gauri is a Christian and not a practising Christian.
According to Aamir Khan, religion has never played a role in the marriages within his family.
Investigation continues
At present, there is no official confirmation linking the viral social media content to any individual or organisation.
Mumbai Police are continuing to verify the source and authenticity of the post and audio clip before deciding on any further legal action.
The investigation is expected to determine whether the threats are genuine and whether any offences have been committed under applicable laws.
