Big test before assembly elections
There are assembly elections in Punjab next year. Before that, these civic elections are being considered as semi-final contests. While BJP is engaged in Mission Punjab, the results of the civic elections are disappointing. The party is far behind its one-time ally SAD. There is a wave of happiness in Aam Aadmi Party due to these election results. After the crushing defeat in Delhi, Punjab was its only strong fort. Recently, when seven Rajya Sabha MPs, including Raghav Chadha, left AAP, analysts predicted that the party may have to suffer losses. But the results turned out to be the opposite.
Punjab AAP wrote on Twitter, ‘Aam Aadmi Party is moving towards a big victory in the urban body elections in Punjab. This victory is the message of the public…people are happy with the work of Bhagwant Mann government. Also, the message of the public is – the poor politics of ED Party is not acceptable to the people of Punjab.
