Further strengthening its commitment to making nutritious everyday food more accessible to Indian families, Aashirvad has launched Aashirvad Chana Sattu in Eastern India. The announcement is in line with the brand’s mission to provide affordable and authentic food items that are naturally rich in protein and fibre.
Sattu, eaten for generations in Eastern India, is considered a perfect blend of taste, satiety, and nutrition. With the growing demand for foods that complement a healthy lifestyle, sattu is gaining popularity again as a great source of natural protein, fiber, and minerals like iron, zinc, and magnesium.
Aashirwad Chana Sattu is prepared from selected quality gram using the traditional sand roasting method. This retains the characteristic roasted gram aroma, taste and golden color of the sattu. Due to its fine grinding, it is suitable for various traditional and everyday recipes.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Anuj Rustagi, CEO, Foods Division Staples and Adjuncts, ITC Limited said, “Today’s consumers are looking for nutritious foods that can be easily incorporated into their daily diet. Sattu is a traditional food known for its taste, versatility and nutritional value. With Aashirvad Chana Sattu, we are bringing the authenticity of this traditional food and the faith in Aashirvad to the consumers.”
Keeping in mind the regional preferences, Jeera Chana Sattu has been made available in Bihar and Plain Chana Sattu in West Bengal and Jharkhand. It is available in 47 gm, 200 gm, 250 gm and 500 gm packs in general trade and will soon be available on modern trade and major e-commerce platforms. With 10 gm of protein in a 47 gm pack priced at ₹10, this nutritious option is more accessible to all.
