Abhishek Sharma reached Delhi High Court during England tour! Big step taken on use of objectionable posts and photos

Digital Desk. Indian cricket team opening batsman Abhishek Sharma, who is currently part of the five-match T20 series being played in England, has moved the Delhi High Court against alleged objectionable posts shared about him on social media and use of photographs without permission.

During the hearing of the case, the lawyer appearing for Abhishek Sharma filed an additional affidavit in the court, giving information about the URLs that are yet to be removed. Hearing this, Justice Jyoti Singh said that she will issue an interim order in this case related to the protection of personality rights of Abhishek Sharma.

Court issued summons

The lawyer appearing for Abhishek Sharma told the court that some objectionable posts have already been removed, but two posts on Facebook and Instagram and another post, which allegedly used abusive language, have still not been removed.

The petition also said that Abhishek Sharma’s photographs have been used for commercial purposes on e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart without his permission. There has been a demand to remove these links also.

During the hearing, the lawyer appearing for Meta told the court that both the social media posts concerned would be removed. The lawyer appearing for Amazon said that following the instructions of the court, those URLs will be removed in which Abhishek Sharma’s pictures have been used without permission.

Eyes will also be on the fourth T20 match

Abhishek Sharma has made a good start in the ongoing T20 series against England, but till now he has not been able to convert any innings into a big score. In such a situation, everyone’s eyes will be on his batting in the fourth T20 match.

The fourth match of the T20 series between India and England will be played at the County Ground in Bristol at 10 pm Indian time. This match is considered very important for Team India to equalize the series.
