Accident in under-construction building in Lucknow, 4 workers fell to basement when lift broke, 3 injured

National News : A major accident took place on Thursday in a high-rise building under construction in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Four workers fell into the basement when a lift collapsed while working on the Shalimar Gallant Waste Project at Vigyanpuri in the Metropolis Police Station area. Three workers were seriously injured in the accident, while one suffered minor injuries. All the injured were immediately shifted to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. According to the police, all the workers are currently out of danger.

An accident occurred while plastering

According to the report, workers were working in the lift in the building under construction. Suddenly, the lift lost its balance and fell straight to the basement. The accident happened so suddenly that the workers did not even get a chance to recover. The incident created chaos at the construction site. Other workers immediately informed the police.

The police immediately shifted the workers to the hospital

On receiving the information, the Metropolitan Police Station police reached the spot and started relief operations. All the injured workers were immediately admitted to Neera Hospital in Lucknow. According to the police, three workers sustained serious injuries, while one worker sustained minor injuries. All are being treated under the supervision of doctors. His condition is said to be stable at present.

All the injured workers are residents of Samastipur

According to the police, all the workers injured in the accident are residents of Bihar’s Samastipur district. The injured have been identified as Chotu Kumar (28), Surendra Kumar (45), Nikku (24) and Monu (25). Other workers present at the construction site at the time of the accident are fully protected.

Investigation into the cause of the accident started

After the incident, police and administrative officials inspected the spot. Preliminary investigations have suggested that the accident may have been due to a technical fault or negligence in safety standards. However, the exact cause can be known only after a detailed investigation.

The police said that necessary legal action has been initiated in this matter. In addition, compliance with safety standards and the technical condition of lifts are being checked at the construction site. The administration says that if any kind of negligence is found in the investigation, action will be taken against the concerned persons as per the rules.
