According to the police, he traveled the whole night before committing this crime and then directly committed the crime. Investigation has revealed that Meena had reached Delhi traveling overnight in a rented van. After reaching the capital, he went straight to the IRS officer’s house, where he committed this heinous murder. Meanwhile, when the Delhi Police team reached Alwar in Rajasthan on Wednesday morning, another sensational information came to light. Police were told that around 10 pm on Tuesday night, the wife of an acquaintance of Meena had lodged a complaint. It is alleged that Meena had raped her the same night. After this revelation, the seriousness of the criminal activities of the accused has increased further. The police is now investigating both the cases by linking them, rape and murder, so that the entire incident can be linked.
was in alwar on tuesday night
According to Alwar Police, the rape victim has stated in her complaint that the accused is a friend of her husband and already used to visit their house. Giving information on this matter, Sudhir Chaudhary (Superintendent of Police, Alwar) said that the accused had reached the victim’s house late on Tuesday night. At that time her husband had gone to a wedding ceremony. During this time the accused allegedly raped the woman. Police investigation has also revealed that the accused and the woman’s husband were associated with each other through gambling activities. This connection became the reason for reaching the accused’s house.
Sold the phone for Rs 10000
Shortly after the rape complaint was filed, Rahul Meena escaped from Alwar and headed straight towards Delhi. According to the police, during his absconding, he sold one of his mobile phones for around Rs 10,000 to raise money for the journey. He then hired a van and promised to pay Rs 6,000 to the driver. However, after reaching Delhi, the accused allegedly got down from the van and fled without paying the money.
Entered the officer’s house at around 6:39 in the morning
Giving information on the case, Vijay Kumar (Joint Commissioner, Southern Range, Delhi Police) said that accused Rahul Meena had entered the officer’s house at around 6:39 am on Wednesday. According to the police, the accused absconded after committing the crime, but he was arrested late at night on the same day. Initial inquiries have indicated that the motive behind this heinous crime may not only be robbery but also a feeling of revenge. Officials say that the accused was fired from his job some time ago, due to which he may have enmity or resentment towards the family. For this reason, it is suspected that he may have committed this crime with the intention of taking revenge.
Absconded with cash and valuables
Police have found important clues from CCTV footage. According to the investigation, accused Rahul Meena was seen on camera roaming in the area around 6:30 am on Wednesday. After this he entered the house at around 6:39 pm. After staying inside the house for about 40 minutes, he was again seen on CCTV coming out around 7:15 am. According to the information, before going out he had changed his clothes, especially pants and shoes, so that his identity could be hidden. According to the investigating officers, during this time the accused allegedly raped the victim inside the house and then strangulated her to death. After committing the crime, he fled from the spot with cash and valuables in a black bag.
Door opened with smart card
Investigation has also revealed that there was a very strong security system in the house of the IRS officer, despite this the accused Rahul Meena managed to enter inside. According to a senior police officer, there were multiple levels of security in place outside the house, located on the third floor, including a digital lock on the main door, a steel gate before entry through the stairs and an additional door outside the lift. The special thing was that the steel door could be opened only with a smart card, due to which unauthorized entry is considered almost impossible.
Investigation also revealed that the staircase was closed from inside, meaning no one could enter from that side. In such a situation, lift is the only way left. The officer said that when the couple left the house for the gym, they used to leave the door outside the lift open. This was done so that when they returned, they could enter directly without disturbing their daughter, because they had a smart card.
had asked for money from many people
Inside information of the house played a big role in this sensational incident. According to the police, when the couple left the house in the morning, they would hide a smart card outside so that the domestic helpers could come inside if needed. Accused Rahul Meena had full knowledge of this arrangement and the place where the keys were hidden. This information became the biggest opportunity for him. He was also aware of the couple’s daily routine, so he knew who would be present in the house at what time. Local people have also confirmed the suspicious activities of the accused. According to residents of the area, he had been asking for money from people for some time. A person selling vegetables in the same street told that Meena had also asked him for money, but he refused to give it.
