When will Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra start? Know the route, cost and complete details

Located in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand आदी कैलाश And the holy journey of Om Parvat is going to start from 1st May 2026 this year. This yatra dedicated to Lord Shiva attracts thousands of devotees every year and this time too a large number of devotees are expected to arrive. Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) has intensified preparations for the yatra. The district administration has reviewed health, water, security and basic facilities so that the passengers do not face any kind of problem.

This time, keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, three different packages have been prepared, the price of which has been kept at around Rs 45,000 per person. This 9-day journey will start from Haldwani and end there. Devotees during the journey Pithoragarhwill pass through major places like Dharchula, Gunji, Nabhidhang and Jeolingkang.

Which religious places will the devotees visit?

During the yatra, devotees will get the opportunity to visit not only Adi Kailash and Om Parvat but also other famous religious places of Kumaon like Kainchi Dham, Jageshwar and Patal Bhubaneswar. On the return journey, the passengers will also be taken through beautiful tourist places like Munsiyari, Chaukori and Almora. This time three different routes have been decided for the journey – from Haldwani, Tanakpur and Dharchula. The entire package will include accommodation, food, local transport and other necessary facilities.

How to book?

Devotees can apply for booking through the official website of KMVN or through private tour operators. Aadhar card, medical fitness certificate and Inner Line Permit (ILP) will be mandatory for travelling. Also, travel insurance is also important.

What is Adi Kailash and Om Parvat?

Adi Kailash is considered to be a reflection of Lord Shiva’s Mount Kailash, while the 6,191 meter high Om Parvat is famous for its natural symbol of ‘Om’ made of ice. This journey is not only related to religious faith, but also gives a wonderful spiritual experience amidst the beautiful views of the Himalayas.

Adi Kailash and Om Parvat are located in Pithoragarh district. Adi Kailash is the second most important peak in a group of five different peaks located at different places in the Himalayas, collectively known as Panch Kailash.
