New Tiago interior and features

The interior of the new Tiago looks cleaner and premium than before. It features a layered horizontal dashboard theme, with fabric inserts across the width of the cabin. It seems Tata has paid special attention to textures and materials this time, giving the hatchback’s cabin a more modern look. It also has a Sierra-like armrest.

One of its biggest features is the new free-standing digital instrument cluster placed next to the touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment display looks to be the same size as the previous model, but the dashboard design around it is completely new. Tata has retained physical controls for HVAC functions, making them easier to use while driving.

The design of the center console has also been completely changed. Instead of a conventional gear lever, the new Tiago AMT features a rotary drive selector, similar to the selector seen in the recently launched new Tata EVs. Interestingly, the teaser also features paddle shifters, which suggests that this feature will continue in the automatic variant as well.

Another key feature is the wireless phone charger. It seems that the new Tiago includes two wireless charging trays in the floating center console. It is likely that only one of these trays will be used as a charging pad, while the other tray will only be used to hold the phone. USB Type-C charging ports are also visible for front and rear passengers, including a 65W fast charging port.

Appearance and design of the new Tiago

The Tiago features a redesigned black grille, revised front bumper with pixel-shaped fog lamps and redesigned headlamps with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs. The hatchback also gets redesigned alloy wheels, new connected taillamps with vertical LED strips and a new rear bumper. The ORVMs shown in the teaser shared by the company hint at the presence of a 360-degree camera. For safety, it will also have six airbags.

New Tiago engine and transmission

Technically, new Tata The Tiago 2026 facelift is likely to retain the current 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (86bhp/113Nm) and 1.2L NA + CNG (75.5bhp/96.5Nm) powertrain. Transmission options will also be carried over from the pre-facelift model, including a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The price of the current model starts at ₹4.59 lakh (approx). The price of the new model is likely to be in the same range.
