After a historic visit to three European countries, President Draupadi Murmu leaves for home

President Murmu returned home after visiting three European countries. During the visit, discussions were held on strengthening bilateral partnership in key areas such as trade and tourism.
Murmu began his tour on July 20 with a state visit to Moldova. This was the first visit to Moldova by an Indian Head of State. During this visit, he discussed all aspects of bilateral relations with his Moldovan counterpart Maya Sandu.
After Moldova, she visited North Macedonia from July 21 to 22, becoming the first Indian President to visit there. During the visit, the two countries agreed to double bilateral trade and discussed cooperation in key areas such as tourism, hospitality and film production. She arrived in Romania on 23 July.
This was the first visit by an Indian President in over three decades. President Draupadi Murmu on Saturday said that people of Indian origin living in Romania are true representatives of India, whose achievements strengthen India’s ties with countries around the world.
