NEW DELHI, July 25: Entry gates across the entire Delhi Metro network have now reopened after restrictions at several stations over the past few days. The latest update from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) confirms that passengers can once again enter and exit all Metro stations.
The development followed the calling off the protest agitation by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) after the resignation by the union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged irregularities in competitive examinations.
In its latest service update, the DMRC said, “Entry gates of all Metro Stations of the Delhi Metro network are now open.” The announcement marks the restoration of normal operations across the network after access to several Metro stations in central Delhi had remained restricted over the past few days due to heightened security arrangements and the rush of young student protesters coming from different places to join the CJP agitation at Jantar Mantar.
