After Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia also wrote a letter to Justice Swarnakanta of Delhi High Court.

After Aam Aadmi Party national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, senior party leader Manish Sisodia has also written a letter to Justice Swarnakanta of Delhi High Court. In this letter he has said that no lawyer will appear on his behalf in the excise policy matter and he has no faith in justice. He said that now he has no option left except Satyagraha.

According to party sources, Sisodia said in his letter, ‘No lawyer will appear from my side either. The future of your children is in the hands of Tushar Mehta ji. In such a situation, I do not expect justice from you. I have no option left except Satyagraha.

Earlier, Kejriwal had written a similar letter, in which he had expressed concern over the legal proceedings. He had written in the letter that my hope of getting justice from Justice Swarn Kanta has been shattered. Therefore, he has decided to follow the path of Satyagraha of Mahatma Gandhi. Former Chief Minister Kejriwal had written that he has taken this decision after listening to his conscience and he has the right to appeal in the Supreme Court against the decision of Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma.

This entire matter is related to Delhi Liquor Policy 2021-22. In this case, the former government is accused of making irregularities in the liquor policy and benefiting some people. This case is being investigated by both the agencies Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Both Kejriwal and Sisodia are accused in this case, but Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court had acquitted all the accused in this case due to lack of evidence.

This order was challenged by CBI in Delhi High Court. Now this matter is in the High Court, but Kejriwal has written a letter demanding that he will participate in the proceedings only if Justice Sharma is removed from the hearing of this case. This letter has now created a storm in the legal and political circles.
