After meeting Iqra Hasan, Punita Singh announced 11-day cycle trip in Ghazipur Sadar Assembly.

The meeting of Punita Singh (Khushboo), State Secretary of Samajwadi Mahila Sabha Uttar Pradesh and in-charge of Sadar Assembly Ghazipur, with Kairana MP Iqra Hasan has become a topic of discussion in political circles. During this courtesy call held at the MP’s residence in Kairana, organizational strength, women’s leadership, social justice, youth participation and the changing political circumstances of the state were discussed in detail between the two women leaders.

On this occasion, Punita Singh presented a souvenir to MP Iqra Hasan compiling the achievements of her three years of social, political and public concern related work. Praising his work, the MP described politics based on public relations and mass struggle as the basis of strengthening democracy.
During the meeting, Punita Singh informed that on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great revolutionary and immortal freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad, an 11-day “Socialist Sadbhav Cycle Yatra” will be taken out from July 23. This yatra will reach about 375 villages of Sadar Assembly constituency and will establish dialogue among the people on the issues of social justice, brotherhood, protection of the Constitution and public interest.
He said that the aim of the yatra is to strengthen the socialist ideology by connecting all sections of the society, especially women, youth, farmers and labourers. During the yatra, people’s problems will be heard by visiting every village and they will be informed about the policies of the party.
MP Iqra Hasan, while extending best wishes for the yatra, said that active participation of women and youth is very important for positive change in the society. He said that to strengthen the socialist ideology, there is a need for continuous dialogue and struggle at the grassroots level. He also called upon the workers to play an active role among the public from now onwards keeping the upcoming 2027 assembly elections as their target.

According to political observers, this meeting of two young women leaders is not just being seen as a courtesy call, but also as a sign of organizational activism and expansion of support base. At the same time, the atmosphere of enthusiasm and preparations has intensified among the socialist workers regarding the proposed cycle yatra from 23rd July.
