New Delhi .Israel had made preparations to target the plane after the attack on the co-pilot of Indian Captain Smit Machar in the Flydubai plane going from Dubai to Tel Aviv. According to the report, Israel feared that the co-pilot could gain control of the plane and hijack it and target a tall building to carry out an incident like 9/11. Due to this apprehension, a plan was prepared to shoot down the plane if it did not change its direction.
There were about 150 Israeli passengers on board the plane. In such a situation, there was a risk of loss of life of all the passengers present in the action of downing the plane, but Israel feared that preventing the plane from colliding with any large populated area or tall building could be necessary to save the lives of thousands of people. Keeping this possible situation in mind, preparations were made to target the aircraft.
During the incident, the co-pilot attacked Captain Smit Machar in the cockpit of the aircraft. It was reported that the Omani pilot attacked the captain with an axe, seriously injuring him. Initially other people present in the plane could not be aware of this incident that took place inside the cockpit.
Despite the attack, Captain Smit Machar somehow managed to open the cockpit door. After this, the crew members and some passengers reached inside the cockpit and controlled the co-pilot. During this time, two off-duty pilots present in the plane took control and landed the plane safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia. The lives of 180 people on board were saved as the plane landed safely.

Australian security agencies are investigating his activities during the period when he was living in Australia about a decade ago. According to the Australian Federal Police, a joint counter-terrorism team of the domestic intelligence agency along with federal and state police are investigating his links to Australia.
The co-pilot has been detained in the United Arab Emirates. He is accused of allegedly trying to take control of an Israel-bound plane. New Zealand police also said that the co-pilot had lived in New Zealand for some time and the authorities there would also investigate him.
According to information revealed in the media, the co-pilot had got a student visa for Australia in the year 2014. He arrived in Australia in 2015 to join a university course. After this he left Australia in 2017. His visa was canceled in the year 2019 after the authorities confirmed that he was no longer registered in the relevant course.
