An alleged dispute in Delhi Metro on Saturday night raised questions about the safety and privacy of passengers. In this case related to AIIMS metro station, it is alleged that a female passenger accused a CISF jawan of taking her photographs without permission. After the woman's protest, some passengers also started demanding from the jawan to see her mobile. During this time the dispute escalated and the soldier was accused of pointing his service pistol towards the passengers.
The matter came into discussion after a video of the incident surfaced on social media. According to CISF sources, the concerned jawan has been suspended and a departmental inquiry into the entire incident has been initiated. The police was also informed about the incident. However, it has come to light that the woman has not yet filed a formal complaint.
Controversy started over the allegation of taking a woman's photo
According to the information, around 9 pm on Saturday night, a female passenger inside the metro allegedly came to know that her photographs were being taken. The woman protested against this and demanded that the photos be deleted. After this, some passengers present nearby also intervened in the matter and asked the CISF jawan to show his mobile phone. Meanwhile, the debate between the two parties escalated and a tense situation arose in the metro coach.
When the dispute escalated, the allegation of taking out service pistol
The matter took a serious turn when the CISF jawan was accused of taking out his service pistol and pointing it at the passengers. It is being said that after the weapons were revealed, a situation of chaos would arise among the passengers present in the coach. It was told that after this the soldier got down from the metro coach and reached the platform. It is alleged that even during that time he had a weapon with him. The video related to this incident is now going viral on social media. Police received information after midnight
According to police sources, a PCR call was received regarding the incident at around 12:40 in the night. The information was related to the dispute that took place at AIIMS metro station. After receiving the information the police team reached the spot. However, it is reported that the female passenger did not lodge any formal complaint with the police at that time. After this, CISF officials were also informed about the incident.
CISF jawan suspended, departmental inquiry started
Taking the matter seriously, CISF has suspended the concerned jawan. Through departmental investigation, efforts are being made to find out how the dispute escalated inside the metro and under what circumstances the alleged incident of drawing of weapon took place. It has also come to light that some security personnel were injured during the incident, although detailed official information regarding their injuries and the entire incident has not been revealed yet.
