New Delhi, 14 October 2026: The pollution level in the national capital Delhi and surrounding areas has once again reached worrying levels. Due to accumulation of harmful pollutant particles in the atmosphere, the air quality index in many areas of Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad has been recorded as very poor and in the dangerous category. Due to the air becoming poisonous, people are facing problems like difficulty in breathing and irritation in the eyes.
The air quality in most areas of Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad has gone from 'poor' to 'severe' category, due to which visibility has also been affected. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cloudy atmosphere in Delhi-NCR today and the maximum temperature will be around 34 degrees Celsius.
The news of relief is that the Meteorological Department has predicted light rain with thunder on 15th and 16th October. According to experts, if there is rain as expected in the coming days, the pollutants present in the atmosphere will be washed away and due to reduction in pollution, people will get relief in pure air. Keeping in mind the current situation, health experts have advised children, elderly people and respiratory patients to be careful and use masks while going out of the house.
