An Air India flight from Phuket, Thailand, to Delhi on Tuesday encountered severe turbulence while flying at cruise altitude. The sudden jolt caused the plane to briefly descend approximately 300 feet, causing panic on board, with many passengers thrown from their seats. Dozens of passengers and crew members were injured in the accident.
Following the plane’s safe landing at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, the injured passengers were immediately provided medical treatment. Ambulances were already on standby at the airport. Some passengers were brought out in wheelchairs, while others had bandages on their heads. As a precaution, all the injured were sent to a hospital for medical examination.
