Now, with the removal of this Rs. 299 option, customers will have to choose a more expensive plan.

With the removal of the Rs. 299 pack, Airtel’s Rs. 349 recharge has become the most affordable unlimited prepaid plan. The validity of this plan is 28 days. Users are given 2GB of high-speed data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day. Some additional benefits are also available, including a 6-month Apple Music subscription, Airtel Hello Tune, and 12 months of Adobe Express Premium. This means customers will have to pay Rs. 50 more than the Rs. 299 plan, although the daily data benefit increases from 1GB to 2GB.
What is special in Airtel’s ₹399 plan?
For users who require more mobile data on a daily basis, the company’s Rs. 399 prepaid plan is also an option. This plan offers 2.5GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS messages per day for a validity of 28 days. Other additional benefits are also provided. The highlight of the Rs. 399 plan is its JioHotstar Mobile subscription, which provides users with access to this service for 28 days.
The plan was previously increased from ₹249 to ₹299.
This move by the company is significant because in August last year, the price of the Rs. 249 prepaid plan was increased to Rs. 299. Now, after nearly a year, the Rs. 299 option has also been removed. Subsequently, to enter the unlimited prepaid category, customers will have to directly choose the Rs. 349 recharge.

Airtel has also not made any clear official announcement regarding the discontinuation of these two plans.
