Ajay Devgn is returning to the horror genre once again for a chilling new project.
According to an exclusive update from Bollywood Hungamathe film has officially been named Suryasparsh.
With the 57-year-old Indian actor at the center, the upcoming film will seemingly bring a dark and eerie story fueled by mystery, fear and suspense.
In the high concept thriller, he is seemingly going to portray a morally ambiguous supernatural character, with the story inspired by Veda Vyasa’s Sanskrit text Garuda Purana.
The film reportedly kicked off filming on September 2, with Rohit Jugraj attached to direct the new thriller.
Ajay is reuniting with Rohit as the two production houses that will be joining forces also delivered successful films like Satan and Raid 2 and the actor starred in the 2024 horror as Kabir, a protective father as well as the 2025 crime thriller .
Reports suggest that the makers are targeting a theatrical release in the second half of 2027.
Taking to Instagram, on September 2, the Drishyam actor shared a picture with the crew, saying, “Darr ka mahaul…hone wala hai.”
