Shri Krishna Janmashtami Today, devotees of Shri Krishna all over the world are celebrating the birthday of their beloved i.e. Shri Krishna Janmashtami with great pomp. People have been reaching the major temples of God since morning for darshan. On this occasion, former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has made a big announcement. He has said that his upcoming government will make world class all-round development of 'Mathura-Vrindavan-Barsana-Govardhan' region.

It is my wish that Ghanshyam ji's love, kindness and compassion continue to be extended to the devotees of Shri Krishna throughout the world. He further wrote, 'Today, on this auspicious occasion, for the development of the birth area of Shri Krishna ji, we reiterate our pledge that just as we had done the basic work for the development of Braj region during the SP government, we will carry forward the same in our upcoming government and will carry out a balanced world-class all-round development of the Sri Kshetra of 'Mathura-Vrindavan-Barsana-Govardhan' in such a way that the religious-mythological importance of this place is maintained and the pilgrims and spiritual tourists will be provided with state-of-the-art facilities. Infrastructure facilities should also be available.
The former CM said in his post, “Development of 'Braj' should not mean neglect of 'Brajwasis'. We believe that proper development here is possible only with the consent and cooperation of the people of Braj. The keys to the development of the Braj region lie in the upliftment and welfare of the Braj people.
