Akhilesh said – Central forces were misused to influence free and fair elections in West Bengal, yet Mamata will have a historic victory.

Lucknow. Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has alleged that a ‘parallel administrative structure’ has been created through central forces to influence free and fair elections in West Bengal. He claims that a completely separate ‘chain of command’ has been set up along with the existing administration of the state. Akhilesh Yadav even said that intervention is being done even at the level of the Director General of Police (DGP) and other officers have been deployed above the district police chiefs in the districts.

Akhilesh Yadav has raised questions on the impartiality of the officers. Said that many officers are working under pressure or inducement. He claimed that some officials have been assured of future benefits, while others are being pressurized by threatening various investigations. According to him, this situation is worrying for the democratic process and he appealed to the voters to vote against such elements who are misusing the authorities.

The ‘administrative experiment’ of Bengal can be repeated in Uttar Pradesh also in the future.

Referring to the political examples of Uttar Pradesh, Yadav said that the same model is being adopted in West Bengal which was seen during the Rampur Lok Sabha by-election. He warned that this ‘administrative experiment’ being conducted in Bengal may be repeated in Uttar Pradesh in the future. Expressing confidence in Mamata Banerjee’s historic victory, he called upon the public to remain alert and fight any kind of injustice boldly.
