Akhilesh Yadav: Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav attended Bhagwat Katha during his two-day visit to Ayodhya. During this he took the blessings of saints. Addressing a public meeting during his Ayodhya tour, Akhilesh Yadav threw an open challenge to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Akhilesh Yadav sarcastically said that BJP is not getting any suitable candidate to contest elections from Ayodhya today. So, if he has the courage, the Chief Minister of the state himself should contest the election from here.
‘Bhagavata Katha teaches us freedom from bonds’
Akhilesh Yadav said, Bhagwat Katha teaches us to be free from all shackles – be it the shackles of power, caste, high-low or untouchability. Referring to Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, he added, “The story teaches us that love is altruism and humanity is the first condition of governance.” He said that the inspiration of ‘PDA’ (backward, downtrodden, minority) and social justice that Lord Krishna made Sudama his friend is true humanity. The sudarshan wheel of power is not to intimidate the masses, but to protect the gentlemen.
‘Let the Chief Minister himself contest elections from Ayodhya’
Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party chief also raised questions against the attitude of the Election Commission and the administration. He said that the state does not run by stealth, but by justice and humanity. Targeting the administration and power, Akhilesh Yadav said, “If they have the same confidence and want to milk the milk and water the water, then the Chief Minister himself should contest the elections from Ayodhya and see, this time the people of Ayodhya will milk the milk and water the water.”
The SP president further said that those who do not maintain the pretense of love, their end is as certain as a crow. Power comes and goes, but if love and structure in a society breaks down, then everything comes to an end. So the greatest need today is to save the Constitution and mutual brotherhood.
