SP chief Akhilesh Yadav taunts on UP cabinet expansion, says, “When nothing has happened in nine years, then what will the new ministers do in 9 months”
Digital Desk: Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has made a scathing attack on the BJP government regarding cabinet expansion in Uttar Pradesh. While raising many questions in a sarcastic manner on the social media platform X, he said that when the government could not bring any major change in nine years, then what will the new ministers do in the last nine months.

Akhilesh Yadav said in his statement that only six posts are vacant in the UP Cabinet, whereas the number of leaders who have joined BJP from other parties is much more. In such a situation, the question is who will get the ministerial post and on what basis. He sarcastically asked whether the weakest leader would be made a minister so that his political weakness would be reduced to some extent.
He also said that if only one MLA from any one society or group is made a minister, then resentment among the other leaders is sure to increase. Those who have been hoping to become ministers for a long time will also face confusion. Akhilesh claimed that many leaders who have joined BJP may feel cheated as it does not seem possible for everyone to get a share in power.
The SP chief also raised questions about the current ministers. He said that the ministers whose departments will be reduced will send a message to the public that their work was not satisfactory. This may also weaken his position in the elections. Referring to the allies, he said that they too would probably only get wait and assurance.
At the end of his statement, Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP government of corruption, atrocities, increasing inflation and unemployment. He said that even in the last months of the government, there is no hope of getting relief to the public.
