Akhilesh's political message an effort to impress students, told PDA as the formula of love-kindness-affinity

Before the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party has intensified its efforts to strengthen its political base among the new generation and students. SP President Akhilesh Yadav, while announcing the student awareness campaign of Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha on Tuesday, put forward a strategy to communicate directly with the students on the campuses of universities and colleges. He said that along with connecting the new thinking of the youth with the future political agenda of the party, the suggestions received from the campus will be included in the manifesto of the Samajwadi Party.

Akhilesh Yadav said that the questions and thinking of the new generation are different, hence we will have to reach out to them with new thinking and new ideology instead of old political methods. Chhatra Sabha workers will visit universities and campuses to interact with students and understand their issues. He said that the suggestions received from the youth will not be limited to the organization only, but consideration will also be given to making them a part of the party’s manifesto.

During this, Akhilesh Yadav took a taunt in his own style on the question asked about the viral video of Mainpuri CO City Ashok Singh. In the video, the CO was seen pointing at his mustache and saying that he should inform Akhilesh Yadav. On this the SP President said, “His mustache was small.” However, after the video surfaced, CO Ashok Singh had clarified that his video had been cropped and aired.

Akhilesh Yadav tried to link his party’s PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) political message with the broader idea of social cohesion. He said that Samajwadi Party is working to bring together the suffering, unhappy and humiliated people. According to him, PDA does not only mean political equation, but also love, kindness and affection. He said that work will be done towards establishing social justice by connecting different sections of the society.

Akhilesh claimed that there will be no discrimination against anyone in this campaign and the party will try to connect people while staying away from negative politics. The SP President said that the message of the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha will be to create a ‘brother nation’ in front of those who try to spread hatred in the society. He said that efforts will be made to connect the students with the organization with the new ideas of the new generation and Gen-Z. Akhilesh said that if the Samajwadi Party government is formed, along with strengthening student organizations and student unions, work will also be done by sending youth to different countries of the world to understand the student organizations there and their functioning.

He said that instead of making the youth only a part of politics, they should also be given opportunities to learn and communicate at the global level. Akhilesh Yadav also expressed his views on the use of blue color in the campaign of Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha. He said the blue color symbolizes ideology, while jeans are seen as an outfit that stands against injustice. According to him, this color gives the message of uniting people and standing against injustice.

Taking aim at BJP, Akhilesh said that people of BJP are often afraid of colors. He also attacked those who alleged irregularities in offerings and donations in the name of God and termed such people as ‘imposters’. The focus of this entire campaign of the SP President is on one hand on increasing the ideological reach of the party among the youth and students, and on the other hand on connecting the political message of PDA with social concerns and extensive public relations campaign. This strategy of the party before the assembly elections is being seen as an attempt to simultaneously address the issues of campus, young voters and social justice.
