Alert of heavy rain and lightning in UP for next 7 days
The weather pattern of Uttar Pradesh is going to be quite fluctuating for the next seven days. According to the latest report of the Meteorological Department (IMD), monsoon will remain fully active in most of the districts of UP till July 17. This week is bringing with it both relief and trouble – at some places the faces of farmers will blossom due to heavy rains, while at other places the humidity and heat will suffocate people. At the same time, warnings of thunder and lightning in many areas have increased the concern.
Clouds will rain for a week
According to Regional Meteorological Center Lucknow, rainy season will continue in entire Uttar Pradesh (Eastern and Western) from July 14 to 20. Cloud activity is expected to be high in eastern UP. Due to the blessings of monsoon, cloud movement will continue in most parts of the state. There is a strong possibility of rain and thundershowers at many places between July 14 and 16. Rain will continue between July 17 and July 20, which may cause waterlogging in low-lying areas.
There will be no relief from humidity
The surprising thing is that despite the rain, humidity will continue in many parts of the state. The weather center has warned of ‘humid’ conditions in western and eastern UP for July 14, 15 and 16. The combination of moisture rising from the ground after rain and strong sunlight will make people suffer from the sticky heat. People going out during the afternoon have been advised to take special precautions.
Danger will increase after July 17
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning from July 17 that there may be heavy rain at isolated places in eastern Uttar Pradesh. After this, there are chances of heavy rain in many areas on 18th, 19th and 20th July also. An alert of heavy rain has also been issued in Western UP on July 19 and 20. The administration has been asked to keep a close watch on unpaved roads, waterlogged areas and rising water levels in rivers.
What is the condition of temperature?
If we look at the data of the last 24 hours, the highest temperature recorded in Orai was 39.8 degrees Celsius, which is 6.5 degrees more than normal. The effect of heat continues in cities like Agra, Fatehgarh and Moradabad. On the other hand, there is some respite in night temperatures—Gorakhpur was the coldest district recorded at 24.6 degrees Celsius.
Take care to stay safe
The Meteorological Department has advised the common people to remain alert. During thunderstorms, do not stand in open fields, under tall trees and electric poles. Do not travel unnecessarily in areas warned of heavy rain and follow the guidelines of the local administration. Monsoon is now in its full form, so do not forget to carry an umbrella and raincoat while leaving the house.
