Alia Bhatt has sparked fresh speculation about Tumbbad 2 after marking eight years of the original film on Instagram. The actress shared a picture of herself wearing the eye mask associated with the folklore horror franchise, prompting fans to wonder about her role in the upcoming sequel.
Alia posted an anniversary wish for the team, writing, “happy 8 years to the entire Tumbbad team”, while tagging those associated with the film. Her choice of image quickly caught attention, particularly amid growing curiosity about her involvement in the next instalment.
Sohum Shah, who led and produced the original film, responded to her Story with a playful message: “Looks like Hastar has a new favourite. Thank you @aliaabhatt”. His reply added to the online conversation surrounding Alia’s association with the sequel.
Although the exchange has fuelled interest in her character, the makers have not yet revealed details about her role or how it fits into the story.
