FIFA sent letter to Nepal Football Association
FIFA wrote in this letter, ‘We inform you that as a result of the decision taken by the Bureau of the Council on 24 June 2026, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has been suspended until further orders in accordance with Article 16 of the FIFA Constitution.
The letter further reads, ‘As a result, with effect from 24 June 2026, ANFA has lost all its membership rights as defined in Article 13 of the FIFA Constitution and this situation will remain in force until further orders. Representatives of All Nepal Football Association and its affiliated clubs will not be eligible to participate in any international competition until this suspension is lifted.
FIFA further wrote, ‘This also means that the All Nepal Football Association and any of its members or officials will not benefit from any development programme, training or coaching activity conducted by FIFA and/or the AFC. Additionally, we would like to remind you and your affiliated organizations that All Nepal Football Association should not have any kind of sports related contact with its teams until this suspension of All Nepal Football Association ends.
At the end of this letter it was written that the Council Bureau or the FIFA Council can end this suspension at any time before the next FIFA Congress. If this happens, we will inform you at the appropriate time.

This suspension imposed by FIFA can prove to be a big loss for Nepal football. After this suspension their players will not be able to play football at any international level.
