All Upcoming Hyundai Cars In 2026 And 2027: Bayon To New Creta Hybrid
Hyundai Motor India Limited, as we all know, has been losing its market share to Tata Motors and Mahindra Automotive in India. However, to make sure that it can claim back the second position in the top carmaker list, the company is now gearing up for the launch of a number of new models. Today, we will provide you with all the details of the upcoming Hyundai cars that will be launched in 2026 and 2027.
The Creta mid-size SUV is the best-selling Hyundai product in India, and the next-generation Creta is currently undergoing testing in India and South Korea. It will be based on Hyundai’s new K3 platform, which will be stronger and better. This time around, the SUV will get a completely redesigned exterior, which will be inspired by the Crater concept. It will feature connected LED DRLs, pixel-style tail lamps, a more upright stance, chunkier body cladding, and a more premium overall design.
On the inside, the SUV is expected to come with Hyundai’s latest Pleos Connect system with a large central touchscreen, a separate digital instrument cluster, and a new four-dot steering wheel. As for the engine options, the SUV is expected to include the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel units. However, it has been reported that Hyundai will also introduce a 1.5-litre petrol-engine-based strong-hybrid version as well. The new Creta is expected to make its official debut in India in early 2027. Pricing will be in the range of Rs 11 to Rs 20 lakh.

It has been noted that Hyundai is currently also working on the development of a new Bayon-based crossover SUV for India. It will be positioned between the Venue and Creta. The Bayon is expected to measure around 4.2 metres in length. The SUV will feature a modern design with connected LED lighting, flush door handles, muscular wheel arches, and a coupe-inspired stance.
This new crossover SUV will most likely feature dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless smartphone connectivity, OTA updates, connected car technology, a heads-up display, and Level 2 ADAS. Hyundai is expected to offer the Bayon with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor. It has been reported that a strong-hybrid version is also under development. The Bayon is expected to debut in India by late 2026 or by early 2027. As for the pricing, it will be in the range of Rs 10 to Rs 18 lakh.

To challenge the super-popular Tata Punch.ev, Hyundai is currently gearing up for the launch of a new electric micro-SUV, and it has been codenamed the HE1i. This SUV has already been spotted testing internationally and in India as well. It will feature a boxy design with split headlamps, roof rails, large 17-inch alloy wheels, cameras on the ORVMs, and a rugged SUV-like appearance.

Hyundai is expected to launch this EV in 2026 and price it in the range of Rs 10 to Rs 15 lakh.

The i20 is one of the most popular premium hatchbacks in India, and recently Hyundai has already revealed the all-new fourth-generation i20 in Brazil. Now, the same model is expected to reach India in 2027. This time around, the hatchback gets an even sharper design with pixel-style LED headlamps, connected LED lighting, larger alloy wheels, and a more premium overall appearance.
The interior has been completely redesigned with dual 12.3-inch screens, a new steering wheel, connected car technology, OTA updates, wireless charging, and Level 2 ADAS. The new-generation i20 is based on Hyundai’s K3 platform, which will improve its safety, refinement, and crash protection. In India, it is expected to continue with the 1.2-litre petrol engine. Meanwhile, the N Line variant will retain the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor. Hyundai is also developing a new turbocharged petrol engine for future models. Its pricing will be around Rs 6.5 to Rs 12 lakh.

Last on the list is the vehicle which will sit at the top of Hyundai’s future lineup, and it will be the Palisade Hybrid 7-seater SUV. This SUV is expected to make its debut in India by end of 2027 or by early 2028 and will take on the Toyota Fortuner, MG Majestor, and others.
