Desk. Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's upcoming film 'The One – Force of the Forest' has been embroiled in controversies even before its release. Another singer's song has been used in the trailer of this film without permission. On Sunday, music composer Sargam Vaish took to his Instagram account and accused the makers of the film of using his song in the trailer of the film without his permission. He appealed to the makers to remove the song and also warned of legal action. Sargam Vaish has given this information on social media through a video.
Sargam Vaish shared a reel on his Instagram account and said that he had to give a bad news. His song 'Ayigiri Nandini', on which he was working for the last three years. It was used in the trailer of the film without his permission. This song was used between 1.08 and 1.30 seconds in the trailer and they even showed evidence by playing that part of the trailer in the video. He said, 'No artist's work should be used without their permission.' In the caption he wrote, 'Remove my song from 'The One'.'
Recently I watched 'The One Official Trailer' and found that my original song has been used in it without my permission or consent. I have not given any permission for my music to be used in the trailer or its promotion. This is very important to me, as I have already signed a contract with a major music label for this work and any such use without permission may affect my existing contract. I believe that every artist's work deserves respect. No artist's work should be used without their permission.
The vocalist further said in the video, 'I request the concerned team to please remove my music and contact me directly. If there is any valid permission or license for its use then it would be good if I can be informed about it. I am sharing this here because I really need your support. The film is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Limited, in association with TVF and 11.11 Productions. The film also stars Shweta Tiwari, Manish Paul and Anoop Soni. Written by Arunabh Kumar and directed by Deepak Mishra, with Manu Anand as DOP and visual director, the film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Neeraj Kothari. This film will be released in theaters on September 25.
