Got bail even after protest
The girl had identified the accused in the alleged rape case in a private school. After this, on May 1, a 57-year-old employee of the school was arrested. The police produced the accused in the court, from where he was sent to jail in judicial custody. However, later the Dwarka court granted bail to the accused. It is being told that the prosecution had strongly opposed the bail. Meanwhile, the victim’s mother has alleged that appropriate action was not taken immediately after the case came to light. He says that even the school administration did not take the matter seriously. The mother also alleged that a teacher of the school may also be involved in the matter. He claimed that the teacher concerned was also interrogated during the police investigation.
Saurabh Bhardwaj has strongly opposed the grant of bail to the 57-year-old caretaker accused in the Janakpuri school rape case. He issued a statement saying that it is worrying to get relief to the accused in a case with such serious allegations. Bhardwaj, supporting the allegations of the victim’s mother, claimed that the DCP concerned in the case allegedly threatened her instead of cooperating with the family. Delhi Police has rejected these allegations. Police say that legal action was initiated immediately after the medical examination of the girl was done and the accused was soon arrested. According to the police, a case has been registered under the POCSO Act and related legal sections and investigation is being done.
