Horrific accident on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, 5 people burnt alive after fire in moving car, see VIDEO
Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Accident: A horrific accident took place late on Wednesday night on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway located in Laxmangarh police station area of Alwar. Five people were burnt to death due to sudden fire in a moving car, while the driver sustained serious burn injuries.
According to DSP Kailash Jindal, the accident happened near pillar number 115/300 near Maujpur at around 1 am. The car was going from Delhi towards Kota. Within no time, the fire engulfed the entire car and within a few minutes the vehicle turned into a ball of fire, due to which the occupants did not get a chance to recover.
Painful death of 5 people
Three women, a girl and a man, residents of Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, were traveling in the car, who died tragically on the spot. At the same time, driver Vinod Kumar Mehar somehow managed to save his life by jumping from the car, but he got burnt to the extent of 80 percent.
On information from passersby, NHAI patrolling team, ambulance and Laxmangarh police station reached the spot. The police team including SHO Nekiram immediately started relief work and the fire department was also informed.
Police engaged in investigation
DSP Kailash Jindal sent the injured driver to Pinan CHC for treatment, from where he was referred to Alwar. At present he is undergoing treatment at Alwar General Hospital. As soon as information about the incident was received, SP Sudhir Chaudhary also reached the spot and took stock of the situation and gave necessary instructions to the officers. Police are investigating the identity of the deceased and the cause of the accident.
